Rebecca Wood of Richard Wood Photography is interviewed
on BBC Radio York following a feature about the cost of weddings in the
21st century. She pointed out that lavish weddings are a feature
of cultures around the world - her dad has just returned from Afghanistan
where workers among some of the poorest communites expressed concern
at the expense of a typical Afghan wedding. And, whatever your budget,
you don't want to trust your precious memories to your mate with a camera;
make sure you use a professional photographer who is an expert not only
at
taking photographs but at doing so in any circumstance and weather.

Richard Wood is used to seeing his photos
displayed on peoples’ walls and websites but in a new venture
he now sees one of his photographs displayed
on the front cover of a major new book. Policing Innocence is
written by a specialist police-woman with experience in UK Child protection
and Internet Paedophile Units and contains essential information and
strategies for everyone concerned with protecting and looking after
children. The book is available throughout the UK via good bookshops
and many internet sites including Amazon.
Rebecca Wood of Richard Wood
Photography explains, “the publishers
of Policing Innocence approached us to provide a design for the front
cover of this book and we had little to work from other than what we
knew of its content. Richard took several different photos; this one,
featuring a child from East Ayton School, was chosen by the author
and publishers and it has already led to enquiries from another publisher
who was impressed with its impact.” She adds that as a parent
and recent teacher at Pindar she has read the book, which she describes
as “compelling to read, and written in a style that will challenge
and inform you and even make you smile in many places! It is a must-read
book about a hot-topic that is tragically rarely out of our headlines.
Richard Wood Photography are proud to see their work displayed on the
front cover of this book which is being distributed via Amazon and
good book shops across the UK.”
